Sorry but I haven’t dealt with that before in a silkie. I would try the benadryl if a sting is probable. Could it be an injury?

I guess it could be. I really have no idea.Sorry but I haven’t dealt with that before in a silkie. I would try the benadryl if a sting is probable. Could it be an injury?
It does look like a pus pocket on the one side. I actually didn't touch it with my hands at all. I'll check.I'd like to add that in one picture, it looks as if it has pus in it.
Is it hot to the touch?
In addition to using oral benadryl, I would apply warm compresses 2x daily for 10 to 15 min. each time.
I think an antibiotic salve would be a good idea as well.
It is very warm to the touch. Poor baby! I'll let you all know how she does after the benadryl tomorrow.I'd like to add that in one picture, it looks as if it has pus in it.

Actually, no. Lol. But it did feel significantly warm. I'll check again tomorrow.Have you touched any other chicken combs to compare?
The temperature is only a problem if it is more warm than a normal, healthy chicken comb.

No. Not yet.I know it hasn't been long but any updates?
So I'm waiting in antibiotics to come in. I got a 18g needle and attempted to drain it. But only a little blood came out. No pus.I know it hasn't been long but any updates?
