Swollen side of face, Cyst Surgery

Thanks guys that is exactly what was happening. I did remove it, but am a little concerned because I could not get the cyst out before so I made the incision longer. Do I still just leave it to heal on it's own? I did give the bird 3 cc baytril. Below is the follow up pics. so people can use this thread as reference. I will also post healing pics too. Again Thanks everyone for his/her help it was much appriciated!

Right After the cyst was removed:

great job Dr Yoda.....you could also put a couple stiches to close the cut......again great job getting it out. soorry i miss this thread early ,but great help from fellow members.......

As Deerman said, a few sutures would hold the wound together and aid healing, as well as help to prevent dirt getting in.
If it is more than 24 hours since you "operated", and the position of the incision margins looks good then it is a bit late for sutures to help.
 
Excellent work. That is perfect for removal of the cyst. Thanks for posting the pictures, they help those who haven't done this before. The cyst looked hard and together so that is when you operate to remove it. Keep taking pictures as this could be a great post to link to when others have questions. The eye looks great!!!

I have another question? I gave hime 3cc baytril after the cyst came out how long does that last and when do I give him/not give him another?
