Okay, I finished giving my cuddle bug chickens some good cuddle time. Even Ruby who usually doesn't cuddle much, hopped up on my lap for about ten minutes. (Ruby is the splash laced red wyandotte with the correct comb on my profile.) And of coarse Dotson stayed on until I lifted her off. (Dotson is the EE after the correct combed golden laced wyandotte on my profile.) I then gave them a generous handful of meal worms.

Well, I was going to spend time with the flock while dinner was cooking, but they decided that a wet evening with periodic drizzle and temperatures barely above freezing was a good time to go to roost early.

I guess giving them some food scraps when I got home from work and bringing their fence charger in to get a plug-in charge will have to count.

Day 3:
It’s forbidden to let my chickens free range because we have a bird flew (H5N8? ) over here in this part of Europe, Chicken lock down.

To please my birds (and because there are no wild waterfowl birds around here) I let them free range for a few hours. They were soooo happy the could fly 🥳

And then ( because I had trouble with the internet) I forget to give them treats and lock them up at the end of the day. ::oops:
Luckily my chickens have a automatic pop door, so they were safe. I promised them they will get the treats tomorrow when I checkedon them.

I can do ten things I'm grateful for, in no particular order.
1. All the people on BYC who are so willing to help me and others with issues, and do so with encouragement and empathy.
2. My chickens. They help keep me grounded during this pandemic. I didn't realize how much I missed pets.
3. My son.
4. Having a stable job, which I also like.
5. Having cool neighbors who also like chickens.
6. Having a home I love.
7. This season of joy and kindness.
8. My friends.
9. The people who kept working through this pandemic, not just the doctors and nurses, but the gas station attendants, the plumbers, the car mechanics, the farmers, etc.
10. The little things: a beautiful sunset, rain on a warm day, the driver who lets me merge.
