Update on Peep;
she is doing much better! the rub on her wing has gone down, not red at all anymore! And she doesn't seem stressed or anything, seems to have fully recovered!

Poor paisley has been dealing with a prolapsed vent for almost a week now, it had gone away for a while but just recently came back and is swollen up again, will continue putting vetercyn on it until its gone! It has seemed to help significantly!

On a happier note, today chickies and duckies got a watermelon rind feast!

Thank you! His name is Razzy, just found out "he" is truly a he about 2 days ago when he crowed, he will soon live in the dude pen! Yes, Peep is still doing better as ever, though her feathers have yet to grow in, I don't think they will until she molts, same with everyone else who need to regrow feathers from when the roosters were still with them.

I have good news about Paisley!! We didnt have any hemmoroid cream but I read that honey acts like it so i applied that 2 or 3 times when i washed her, other than that I just washed her when her bum got dirty in a tub with warm water, sprayed veteracyn on the actual prolapse, pushed it in then sprayed the vent.

I was getting a little worried because it was lasting so long, but to my thankful suprise yesturday or the day before while I was gone I was told the prolapse had gone back in all by itself without spray or anything!!!!! Sure enough when I got back I checked her and it was in and her vent wasnt even swollen!!! Yay!!! It so far hasnt come back out and is still not swollen but I will keep my eye on her!

I also have news on Razzy!! He is a dude! A few days ago we heard him crow! He will move in with the other roosters into the dude place after 4-H fair! He crow is actually very good! He is the second bantam rooster (both bantams are cochins) we have the other one is Mr. Stella who is a birchen cochin bantam!

That will make 4 roosters! The roosters are in a sectioned off part of the chicken feild and the coop (coop is 10x10 shed so its big enough). We have 1 Salmon Faverolle roo (Winston), 1 Silver laced wyandotte roo (Kiwi; the reason the roosters are separated from the hens in the first place), 1 Birchen cochin bantam roo (Mr. Stella), and now a red frizzle cochin bantam roo (Razzy)!!

I will upload a current picture of Razzy.

My Columbian Rock Rooster, Napoleon. He is very brave (and aggressive) he has fought off hawks and won at least two or three times.

Our Dutch Bantam, we just call her Bantam. She is feisty and will fly up on your shoulder if and when she wants to. She is very broody, and has hatched out two batches of chicks. She turned one year old in March.

Poor Peep (amerucana in profile pic)! Last night when we went to go put them to bed we were missing her and a few minutes later found her tightly stuck in a roll of fencing! Took us until 2am in the morning to free her but we did and she was freed without any serious injuries, just a rub on her wing! Its hard to put the situation in words but were glad she made it, she was so tightly in the roll and the metal was thick, hard to cut through! She truley is a survivor chicken! This is her 2nd possibly deadly experience (the first was when she survived a 3 dog, dog attack which killed everyone of our chickens except her).

She seems like a strong girl! I once came home to find a hen stuck in the woodpile. All that was sticking out was her fluffy white rear end. I was so scared she wasn't okay, but she was. Must have been chasing bug or something Lol!
