Good morning everyone!

Today is day 20!

I went to bed last night with one egg pipped. Woke up with a total of 4 eggs pipped and one is zipping (blue egg)! It's going to be a fun day!

Yeah! I can’t wait to find out the results of this experiment.

Thanks, great to have you! The more the merrier!! And the more people who do this, the more accurately we can tell if this theory has an merit to it!!
I can't believe they have digital calipers at Home Depot! I had been looking online everywhere, and finally found a decent quality/ priced one, however I had to wait several weeks for it to arrive!!

Believe it or not, they have them at harbor freight as well (if you don't have them there, they are the big lots of tools.)

Yes ma'am, its the same. You left an Olive egg off the list which I speculated might be a be a pullet as the number was in the 76.4468 range. Working off of my theory that I should compare one hens egg sizes to determine what her pullet egg number would be, I also speculated that since there was such a large difference in the lowest number for the blue eggs that the 76.3101598 would be a pullet.

It's all a guessing game at this point...but time will tell. Now if the hatching gods will be with me and all of these babies will hatch, we'll see what we get! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and predictions!!

I have 8 tiny babies! All of the blue eggs and both of the pink eggs hatched. 3 of the 4 green eggs hatched. The one remaining egg doesn't have a pip and I didn't see any movement when I candled it. I'll leave it in the incubator till tomorrow night as today is technically hatch day. I'll measure it later to see which egg it is.

What breeds are the chicks?

My goal was to make some Olive Eggers.

The father is a Blue Copper Marans (Zaffer):

The first Mom is a Blue Ameraucana (Esmeralda):

The second Mom is an Olive Egger (Early Girl):

The third Mom I believe may be an Blue Orpington cross? She has the body of an Orp but that rust color on her chest throws me (Lazuli) I just hatched her eggs for fun, I'm sure I'll get some shade of brown egg from her babies. I honestly don't know what she is as my sister-in-law gave her to me and she was given to her for chicken sitting and she didn't ask what she was when she took her.

I also was after olive eggers, and that is the majority of what I have in the incubator.
I also have CCL, Cochin, and polish eggs
I couldn't get just one breed!!
