Nellies amazing whites mixed with aster lorps..that were a gift from hupp farms.. these babies as they get older are like a living art work. just beautiful.
Those whites are so lovely! I think I have one of Roger's eggs hatching soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm so upset that a fox ate 4 of my black orpingtons and 2 guinea hens. The darn fox came out in broad daylight and snatched them. The kids saw the fox and they started screaming. We only have one sweet lonely black orpington hen and 9 guineas left. I want to get more orpingtons. If anyone knows where I can get some sweet, fluffy, friendly orpingtons, please let me know. I would prefer more blacks or buffs or whites. The exotic colors are beautiful but seem to be too expensive. I live in Rhode Island so a local person would be great.

I think it would be a good idea to trap the fox first :)

Just popping in to say hi and show off my 8 wk old splash boy?? (hoping) from Renie'sPeeps and my Red Orps from GFF. I sure hope the reds are a pair. They are 4 weeks old.

Anyone else have red orps? I would love to see more photos of them.

Hello, I'm Joe & have two Buff Orp hens around 4-5 months old. They are so sweet & my wife & kids love them. Thinking about getting a rooster & raise some chicks too. My question is are Buff Orp roosters as gentle & sweet as the hens??? My main concern is having a loud, noisy rooster, as my hens are relatively quiet. Would a Buff Orp rooster be good to have???

we may have to team up and get red orps together

You are in TN too! I am in Gatlinburg. I am addicted to Orps! I have three little Partridge growing out too. I will have to get photos of them later.
You are WAY down the other end of the state to me! We started out with BBS and that now grew and we have seven colors... I want more. They are totally addictive.
