The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Beautiful girls!

Updated pictures of two pullets from Nellie. i love the lacing on these girls and they are such a soft shade of blue!

This little guy is all feather. He is so incredibly fluffy, I just can't decide which is a favorite!

This one has got the biggest chest and looks cartoonish, since he leads with his chest as he walks.

Thanks Nellie, for passing on some awesome type!

Okay, one more update and I'm done for today...
This weekends hatch:

These little pom poms already know their cheerleading pyramid routine! Thank you Julie!!!!

Not everybody selling English birds is in it for the money. It doesn't matter if you pay a lot or a little- if you don't know how to cull your flock you will have junk birds.
I am so happy that I got my birds from somebody that had a very good eye, and was breeding for the love of Orpingtons, not profits.

I don't appreciate your passive aggressive attempt at trying to make it seem like all I care about is making money off of my flock.
Again, those who know anything about me, know that I love my birds and keep them as pets above all other reasons.

ETA- the blacks anyway. I have never cared for the LCs so I don't really even look at them.

Bullying? How about trying to educate and point them in the right direction to find better birds?

Did my frustration come out sideways a bit? Yes. I'll apologize for that, but at the same time like I said initially I won't stand for people passing of junk birds as pure English.

I don't know what your beef is Amy, or if you're just trying to stir the pot, but I promise that you aren't going to get a rise out of me. I've always considered you a good person and a friend if only "through the wires", so I don't know why you are pointing this masked negativity in my direction. I've never said anything bad about you and I have actually complimented your birds in the past AND sent people in your direction when someone has been looking for a breed that you keep.

Can we be adults and treat one another respectfully? If you have something to say about me, say it. Don't be snarky for no reason.

I think Jeremy is just trying to protect a potential new comer to the English Orpingtons, and the integrity of the birds as well.

Thank you for understanding Nellie!
