Well, it looks like my 4 Winston and Clementine chicks are ALL cockerels. Out of the 4 chicks I hatched from Winston and Minerva, 2 are cockerels and 2 are pullets. Sooooooooooo, at this point, I have seven 100% English roosters (counting Winston) and only three 100% English pullets (including Clementine). I will say that I am not disappointed that Luna is a he (though I need to change the name now). However, I certainly will be culling a few at about 8 months. YIKES !!

I'm going to try to get some photos this afternoon of The O's, Hagrid, Rumples, and Bluebell, and also the 4 newest W&C cockerels. I'll try to post them later.

Hey Katy - Yeah, I would have liked to have had a couple more pullets for sure, though I want to keep at least 5 roosters, so it isn't too bad. Who knows, might end up keeping them all !!! Hopefully Clementine will be done with her molt soon and I'll start getting some eggs from her again and hatch more...though hopefully not all boys !!!

Joy, at least you will have a lot to choose the finest from-but it would be nice to be a little more hen heavy.

More than likely, I'll only have 1 cockerel to get rid of anyway, even if I keep 5, since I am sending one to Julie.
