Julie,
You've done just what I want to do! You've put wide stiff main tail feathers on an Eng O frame. Love them. Hope I can do as well with my buffs!

Julies birds are the best, Jeremy's too! Kathy's got so many great things going on.. Bills beauty buff hen, galani's birds..I Love the tours of thier fantastic birds in here.and that knockout hen in Walts avatar.wish Walt would do us more pics.

Its always such a treat when Julie pops in and posts some pics for us.

I went out in between rain storms and took a few pictures..it has been unbeleivably cold here and its june..we seem to be stuck in a cold rainey pattern, it was a logistical nightmare getting ready for NPIP inspection, we were soaked and cold..but luckily it cleared up that morning so went quickly and smoothly...everybody is cranky at work because it feels like we never left winter..but finnaly this weekend there is nice weather coming. still running the heat lamp in the baby A frame and its almost mid june..weird weather.

seniorita softie with like jeremy's hen is rooster damage, over zelous rooster took a spike off her comb. she has the rest of the year off just enjoying the pasture.I just love her .

I like this young man, he is just under 2 mos in this picture. the baby EOs are in the circular fence

a little or not so little EO, already looking chunkey..the first blue for me.

Part of the group out enjoying some greens, one of the storms blew tree limbs into my stomp fence..we have been keeping the birds closer to the house because we have seen several fisher cats out back..they think nothing of going over fence in the day..

baby blue EO, There are 2 and 2 look like black EOs but its a big pen , they are everywhere running around, I tried to get a group shot but they scatter so fast.

benjamin the australian orpington. he was a gift to me and we just built a big pen for him.never found any good hens to work with.

Wide feathers don't make a chicken look fluffy or loose feathered. Rosecomb bantams have very wide feathering as do oegb's and they are pretty tight feathered birds.

Walt
OK..The pictures kind of made it seem that way..but if anyone knows these thigns ...you do.

Julie, is this my favorite boy? He is looking good. He looks WIDE. I love the tails on these Orps, the feathers just look like they're pouring off of their back. He's gorgeous.

Boy that is a wide one isn't he?
I let a few out for their first time. The dog was very curious.

Cute wee ones GoPokes!

Our corgi likes to sniff the babies, they're aren't as fond of him though usually. LOL.

This picture is from last year, the Orps and Toby helping to "till" the garden beds.
