No clue. With either one, I’d still like to know how it occurred. All the parents were solid colored birds. There’s no telling what these hatchery birds have buried deep in the gene pool.

There's you answer probably. It may not have been the breeding of 2 of what you have now. It may be a throwback from many generations ago. Or may not

It’s really sharp! If I wanted to duplicate it, I’m not sure where to start. It’s just on the neck/breast area now. Will it expand with the next mini chick molt?

Well my Serama chicks are doing great! Plus one of my hens turned broody for the first time. I'm letting her be a mom. I told myself and hubby we're done with chicks this year... nope.
