It was waaaaay too cold for outdoor pics that day!! Was blowing snow!!

Aww!! Happy Anniversary! I love Valentine's weddings. We're going to a wedding on Sunday, too. I think it's great because you'll never forget what day your anniversary is. ;)

It's our anniversary, too! We're celebrating 5 years of wedded bliss aka Chris putting up with my ever growing herd of animals. It was the coldest day ever, and we both got the flu that week after spending 2 hours having pictures done in an orange field. Totally worth it though. :gig

Yes indeed you have! He's such a cutie.

Trim, have you ever done any dog training?

Dogs happen to like me and respond well. So I enjoy training them. In case, they don’t stress this at your class, Sit and No are the most important things to teach the dog..

They can be taught in an hour and reinforced so within a week they are second nature..

that way if something goes wrong in the rest of the training, you can stop the action with a “No” and “sit” and be able to praise the dog as the last thing you do.

A friend has a bloodhound and he said she was untrainable. I had her sitting and lying down in about 10 minutes with the help of an old donut..

lol

That's a wonderful picture too! How many times do you smack the camera guy with an orange?

Note to all of you hatching eggs::;

I am ignoring all threads of eggs in incubators, hatchers and baby chicks..

I am trying to not hatch any birds this year. I need to cut back or get rid of them all.

Your threads are to me the same as an alcoholic walking into a bar..

I am not being rude, I am just trying to practice my 13 steps by pretending hatching is not a real thing..

Just don't let them get pregnant.

We can never forget our Anniversary... we picked a date about a million years ago when there was no other event on or around it..

Then in the last few years it started to become a huge party for the rest of the world.

In 1973 no one I knew had ever heard of “cinco de Mayo”.

Now people are like “ oh, you got married on Cinco De Mayo day”...

I have to explain “ no they put Cinco De Mayo” on our anniversary day...

I think it’s silly they picked our day because I am not even a fan of Mayo. I only eat it in deviled eggs.. otherwise I refuse to.

I've never done a formal class. Most of what I've done was just off YouTube. Some has worked well, but it doesn't do very good at training me to do the training. Does that make sense?
Yep, it does.. the key is making the dog want to please you and rewarding other with praise and a small piece of food.

Also try to determine which treat your dog will consider high value and which is low value.. new things should always be introduced wit high value treats.. they will do more for them than a low value treat..

sort of like giving your kid a penny or a quarter..
