Well so far I can only confirm 4 viable eggs.
2 O Shamo
1 Black Australorp
1 Blue Isbar

11 days to go! I sure hope the 2 O Shamo make it. That would at least help me swallow the price of this whole thing. I guess I was being naive, but I really thought I'd get more chicks than 4. There are a couple of eggs that are difficult to see whats going on, so I'll remain hopeful, but about 1/2 are as clear as day 1...

That's a bummer Chris. But it is a learning experience. First eggs that got shipped to me were 20, 5 weren't fertile the rest hatched these were Runners and Buffs. Next were bantam eggs 8 only 4 made it then next time the same. I think USPS can be a bit rough on boxes. Even if they say fertile eggs or fragile. One of these days you'll have your own breeding stock.

He's the only Ancona that just walks up to me. That is unless I have a bowl of food, then they all love me lol.

With the Anconas, females where a bit over triple the price of the males. We ordered 1 sexed male, 3 sexed females, and 3 straight runs.
Terry and Pip are the known Ancona fellas.

Then the Runners we ordered 1 male and 7 females, however they sent 2 extras that I suspect are males too. (though the sexed male was marked and none other where)

So far it's 5 confirmed males out of 22 total ducks.
I've read Ancona drakes make perfect little gentlemen, but time will tell with that.
I still can't find a home for those Pekin drakes. If I could rehome those 2, and then only have the other 3 I know of, that would make me happy. Some of the Runners still don't have their adult honkers yet though, so I might actually have more drakes.
