Love the pictures of the dog parade!
I've gotten that before too! It's so strange. I'm assuming people just don't read. Never once have a read an ad that says someone has, say, five hens for sale and thought 'I'll message them saying I'll take 20, surely they have 20 they're looking to sell even though they said 5'.

Although, I did once get a sale because someone was extra observant looking at one of my ads, and that was nice. It was an ad for a cockerel, but in the background of the picture, you could see my geese - which are a critically endangered breed and listed as such with the Livestock Conservancy. Turns out the guy had been looking for them and he nicely asked if I'd be having goslings for sale in the spring. So he ended up buying two.

But most of the time it goes the opposite way, lol.

I think some people genuinely don't read the ad, or read it selectively. I've very clearly listed ONE rooster for sale and often have people saying "well how many do you have to sell?" Umm.. just the one. In the picture. That one.

@Trimurtisan, you're a gardener extraordinaire. My memory sucks but didn't you say you had a soil recipe that works well? Also, do you do much with fruit trees? If so, I may pick your brain tomorrow about what I'm doing wrong (which is probably several things) with a few of my sickly looking trees.
I can chat soil with you all day. Fruiting trees, well that's not a strong point. My suggestion is plant a bunch of papaya. They need nothing more than water and sand. Oh, well figs are easy down here too.

Yeah, apparently fruit trees aren't my strong point either. 😂 My citrus look pretty good with the exception of the grapefruit trees, and I'm totally just winging it with the apple and peach trees.

So I've got good news and bad news for the current hatching eggs... The bad news is I mislabeled an egg. I was expecting a barnyard mix chick and, well... there's good news too.

When I got home last night, I noticed an empty shell and started to inspect the barnyard mix chick. I'm super excited to see what it is. Old rare breeds are cool, but the crosses are sometimes way cooler in appearance. So I pull out this wet chick, and it's not what I was expecting... not at all. It was another Malay! Which kicks butt because the last Malay labeled eggs has stalked out. So I've got 4 Malay chicks! Cost me about $35 for the 8 eggs. 50% hatch on shipped eggs of an unknown source.... Hmmm, I think I'm okay with all if that. Lol, watch... Their going to just be Asel crosses, which would explain the price lol
