Yes Miss they are. I have 1m/1f Blue Birchen (might be some French blood in them, but their feet are mostly clean) . Then I also have 1m/1f/2? French Golden Cuckoos (feather footed). They are sex linked, but I'm second guessing my original guess. I now think the 2 chicks are pullets.

I'd like to actually cross the FGC girls to Sully the BB roo and make some blue sex linked chocolate egg layers. Big problem is I only know the shell color from the 2 chicks. Not sure what color grade Sully came out of. Still though, it's something to do, have fun with, and learn from.

Blue Birchen roo x Golden Cuckoo hen
And...
Ayam Cemani roo x Blue Birchen hen
Be some hot fire sex linked chicks.
(AC's can be used for sex linking too)

In that case I may need to buy a couple of the sex linked chocolate egg layers from you when you accomplish that, lol. I saw that eBay lot and drooled over the beautiful Marans and the egg color is to die for. 😍

Sully just needs a purple shampoo, will tone down the brassiness (hair dressers advice to me when I went blonde and came out gold)

I went blonde once... took 8 hours and burned my scalp. I tried purple conditioner to help with brassiness and turned my hair purple for a bit. Whoops. I pretended that I did it on purpose because we were going on a Legoland trip for my son's 9th birthday. I didn't do it on purpose. My sister looked much better as a blonde than I did, but it took us FOREVER to get back to natural red, and we finally did before our brother's wedding, so never again for either of us.

Moral of the story is... you let that Marans be whoever he wants to be. Let his gold sparkle! 😂

Hehe. I'll take that advice and let the goldilocks flow. To be honest, I like the brassy look better. So what he's not SOP, I'm not a Matans Purist. Those guys scare me! ;)

That exhibit at Legoland was easily my favorite part of the park. The attention to detail is just amazing.

That's why I don't dye my hair :lau

My hair is very natural, very weird coloring. Brown at top, blonde tips, dark red highlights (Not to visible) Plus, my hair is almost butt length, so I don't want to chop it from dead ends

These three are seriously like little children. They stil have not found their place yet in the order, and everytime they get spooked they come running to me. At lest I know they trust me, which is nice. I've had to carry them in/out of the Shack the last two nights. Hopefully they catch on to that part here soon.

Yeah don't do it. Mine was super long but I ended up having to cut of a significant portion just to get most of the blonde out and just let the natural color grow back. Plus the blonde portion - which was eventually dyed red - was so unhealthy.

So the other day I said I mislabeled an egg. Turns out I didn't and it does look like a barnyard mix. It's got a wider/rounder shape and different colors. I'm guessing it's Sully's from the colorbut I'm not sure who the mom is. It was from a white egg. Could either be Blossom (55F) or Peaches (Dork).

I haven't actually seen Peaches lay yet, but I checked her vent and it does look like she's already layed eggs.

Blossom carries the barred gene and crossed to Sully should make sex linked chicks. There is no dot on the chicks head, so if it's this cross it should be a pullet.

By the way, mixing bowls work great for getting 2 chicks to hold still. :gig
