18 hours, 6 emails, and I still cant get them to commit to a time to go get him...
I have very little patience for people that waste my time. I've got two kids a wife and a life to manage. If I don't get a response in the next couple hours, I likely won't be going to get him. )

I offer a link to this thread on every CL ad I respond to. I figure it gives them a way to see 1) I'm being truthful when I saw it's a pet.
2) instill a bit of trust.

My first email is usually just an introduction, and a request to know if said item is still available. My second email typically covers everything that needs to be said to finalize a sale. My email address has my real name in it, and this thread has multiple pictures of my face. If I can't instill enough trust in the first couple messages, I tend to loose interest.

I'm too much of a softie when it comes to animals. If this was just a watch or something, I would already wrote them and told'em I wasn't interested.

Past his prime probably means he won't be a good breeder anymore\he won't be fertile.
