Good Morning Chris. Quackers are doing great it’s raining means MUD!! Nope Muscovy drakes doesn’t mess with the Runners an Buffs at all. Now I can’t say the same about my 2 Runner drakes an the female Muscovy

General just picked up a bug and made the food call. The d'Uccle trio went up and general dropped it for them, and actually let the young cock go for the food. Mrs Shea definitely cock blocked him, but General was actually very polite to the young ones.

I found an ad for Scovey pairs for only $10. I wrote to ask if it needed to be m/f pairs, but haven't got an answer yet. If they'd let me do 5f/1m though, I think I'll be adding some to the quack shack.

I had to stop building the bantam breeding pin because I used half of it for a quarantine pin, but I can get it finished, it'd be large enough to quarantine 6 adult ducks.

Hey there Bob. Happy hump day. I don't know about you, but everyday is starting to feel like Monday. Normally not having a job, every day is a Saturday. I don't go socialize much, but all this distancing is starting to drive me bonkers.

So, we lost one of our goats this afternoon to a bobcat. I'd never even seen one before today. Bobcats are going on my hatred list. They may even outrank hawks.

oh no I am so sorry when I lived in Fl. we had bears and pumas .

Ditto! I am working on week 3 of home quaratine and it has been cool and rainy but the sun is starting to come back out. This too will pass Chris! Thankfully

My muscovy drake didn't have much interest in the other ducks because he had plenty of girls. But mine never really mingled with the pekin or runners anyway they just sort of co-existed. In fact the only thing he loved more then his girls was the food shed. If he heard the door he would get excited and try fly but the result was more like a ground level rouge missile. They will follow you through fire for food. Even if they just ate. As for the ladies, there is no better mama for protection against predators. Which can be a con if you want to reach under them for egg checks, I suggest boxing gloves to protect fingers.

Sorry I felt the need to give a review on them. I do love 'scovies. Lucky is basicly a puppy now. Way more interestedin hanging with the humans then the other ducks.

My Muscovy hang out as their own flock too. But some drakes must like other domestics hence we have hinnies and mulards.
