Time for some Ayam Cemani pictures. They're perched in the shade on this hot day. Day one of free ranging. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit worried something might happen to them. It's also the first time them and the ducks will be able to come in contact. It's been all see no touch. So far it's going pretty good.

They're very beautiful! So black! :love

I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I decided to name this girl Shea. I couldn't find a name that went with the chocolate theme I liked, plus she has a fair amount of cream like colors. She reminds me a bit of shea butter, and the only human named Shea I know is an attractive woman my age .

When I called and told Shea the human I was naming my chicken after her, she was thrilled about it, so the name is staying.

I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture, but Shea's earlobe has an iridescent sheen to it. It almost like mother of pearl. The woman I got her from pointed out the white earlobe, but never said anything about any coloring. Does anyone here have any experience with something like that?

I won the Tomaru auction! :yesss:
The more I researched them, the more excited I've been getting!

I posted this in the hatching thread. .
So tomorrow morning I'm going to call the seller and see if I can just send him $10-15 to add in a few more O Shamo eggs. For those who might have missed it, this breeder/seller is the same source of my current O Shamo eggs. The auction ended at only $26 including shipping. I got a good enough deal I can afford to bargain with him a bit. I'll let y'all know what he says.
