I'll be honest, I had no idea how loud baby chicks are.

I don't know if I would say that, but they definitely seem to be more consistent than ducklings. The ducklings chattered like a community, where is the chicks just seem to chirp whenever they want. Overnight, my gosh the chicks are much more consistent, where the ducks only really made noise on when spooked.

Last night it would be quite for 5 minutes, then 1 chick would chirp, then they would all start chirping... I've got 2 brooders in the living room and the incubator in the kitchen. I couldn't even tell what direction the sound wad coming from lol.

It is cute though.

I'm good for now, but today is about to get crazy! Mama's going to be gone for most of the day and she's leaving me to babysit 6 of my overly wild siblings!
My new duckies are doing great! They're very lively and adorable! Next Monday the hatchery is going to ship me 15 more for free since a third of them died.

Wheeeew! I thought I had it rough just watching the 2 boys. Six is quite the handful.

That's good the hatchery is compensating you. It's never good to hear about ducklings dying, but it is always good to hear about good customer service.

Yes, I'm very pleased that the hatchery is compensating me! They have very good customer service!
I will try not to pull my hair out, but I can't guarantee that I won't!
