My notifications have NOT been working for this thread! It seems as if I watch so many different threads that many of them never even alert me when there's a new post! I don't like it! Anybody know if there is a way to fix that problem, (other than not watching as many threads! )???

Anyways, I see you got some new hatchlings Trim! That's eggciting!!! They're such adorable babies! How is the heat pad working out for them?
Have you ordered any more hatching eggs yet?

I think the solution is only watching a few threads at a time, but I'm not taking that route!

My notifications have NOT been working for this thread! It seems as if I watch so many different threads that many of them never even alert me when there's a new post!

On any given day, I follow at least 30 threads, sometimes more. What I think the issue is with alerts, it's not so much that they are not working, they're just easy to miss. I would suggest simply clicking on the "watched threads" tab periodically as that is difficult to miss. On average I get a hundred and fifty plus alerts a day, it's very easy to miss one in the mix.

Another option to make it a little bit easier. When on the watched threads page, summarize your alerts. To do so, click on the "alerts" in the top right, click on "shows all" that takes you to a different page. On the top are some options. It should have "summarize alerts" in my case it says resummarize because I've already got it turned on.

This will group some of the alerts. For instance, Elly, if you like 7 of my post on the same thread, it just says "xxxx liked 7 of your post on The Quack Shack" in a single alert.

Chris, I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just saying it doesn't work for me. The last guy who picked up birds here was showing me the differences that he saw, my problem is I didn't see any differences.

Ahh. Gotcha. I'll have to see if I can figure it out. I do actually have different feathering patterns on some of the chicks. I'll take some notes and see if it comes out correct. Although if we're relying on eye sight, might be in the same boat as you.

I've been using forums with the xeno force software since it came out and moderated one for a long time too. I don't remember all the tricks, but I am pretty decent getting around.
