Yep not even a bird there! Completely deserted. I did find these ducky shakers at the Op shop (thrift store) on my adventure though. $2! Didn't know what they hadView attachment 2523345
What is that place? Why is it there? Looks like a government financed project here. Like a goose refuge in an area not on a fly way.

Lol. But why was it built in the first place?
Its a rest stop. About every 20km theres a pullover point, normally just has a bin. But this one, a touch fancier with table and toilet facilities. Its called Florida. It was only on my drive to the mining town further west that I discovered it. Seeing a sign that says Florida rest stop I had to investigate.

So I was right it was a government venture.

Wunda, how entertaining. It does kind of remind me of the Florida I found when I returned to the states... hint, hint, didn't take but 7 months for me to leave the country again. Then after two years living and working in the magic kingdom, I returned to DC... Oh boy, what a shock for a naïve guy.

I have to give you Aussies credit, Wunda...

We were watching an Aussie sitcom and this guy started being attacked by “Bull Ants”. I had no idea what a bull ant was, or if it was just a joke.

I looked them up! Wow, any ant an inch and a half long that jumps and attacks people and reproduce like rabbits and you still chose live there, amazing
