Good morning everyone! I was able to capture a bit of time traveling in a photo. The presence with the future to come.

I performed to necropsies yesterday. Maybe more of a dissection, considering I don't have the knowledge to diagnose. It was a bit of a catch-22 on its own. The actual process was educational, getting a first-hand look at the anatomy. It was also a bit heart-wrenching. I'll be honest cutting into the O Shamo was pretty difficult for me.

I'll be starting a thread today if I get a chance including pictures.

I took a few pictures from around the yard...

Morning folks :frow

I'm gonna be gone for about a week. Chris stay safe.
Morning Bob. I hope all goes well for you while you're gone. Don't forget we're just a click away. :hugs

In regards to being safe. I've got the surf boards ready! If worse comes to it, I can always build a raft and have the ducks power it.
:gig

We should be okay. We've got plenty of none perishables, and drinking water. I'll be filling up a few barrels with none potable water today for if we need it. Got the generator on standby. Even got the portable AC unit waiting so we can actually get some sleep. To me that's one of the worse parts of a hurricane. Loosing power and having to sleep in those muggy conditions. YUK! Lol, we even have a sterno powered coffee pot! (I am not the only coffee junky here)

There is a hurricane coming? Yikes! I pray God protects you and your family and all your birds from any extreme weather.
A hurricane coming, well, that just don't sound too good to me!
Hi there Elly, and good morning! I know I responded to this, but I was elbows deep in to trying to figure out what killed the chicks, and just gave it a passing answer...
First off, thank you for the concern, I do appreciate it very much. :hugs

Hurricanes can be horrific, but so far we have been very lucky to not have to deal with a horrific event. We live towards the middle of the state, and it makes a pretty big difference on how bad it normally is. The south eastern coast is normally what gets hammered the hardest. A lot of the time (but not always) by the time the storm hits us, it's lost a lot of power. Our biggest problem is typically losing power for 2-7 days. Not to say that's not grueling on it's own, but it's not very dangerous, just very uncomfortable.

We do still take precautions though, as hard hitting storms have hit here. Even a category 1 hurricane (75 mph winds) can still cause big problems. Lol, tropical storms... Well those are just showers down here. ;)

Anywho, I hope you have a grand day, and will chat with you later!

Mornin Y'all! Chris your plants are beautiful!
Morning Quackie! One of the benefits of living in a tropical area is it's always green.
I will be out too for the next week. Mine is vacation so now I feel guilty. :th
TAKE US WITH YOU! :D
I hope the tip goes well. Do you have any big plans or is it more of an R&R trip?

Hi Trim! :frow Good morning!
I'm glad to hear it might not be as bad as sounds! Hopefully you won't lose your power this time! What day is it supposed to start next week? Do you happen to know the exact day it's supposed to hit?
I pray y'all stay well protected!
Have a grand day! :)

Beautiful pics! It's SO lush and green down there. It must be really nice! That's so wonderful you can grow pineapples. Do they they actually grow wild there or do you have to plant them?
