Ok I had two Saxonys. They didn't really fit as I'm breeding for eggs. So I found them a new home but I wanted some half hens. Put 11 eggs in the bator that i thought were the Saxonys. 8 of them were ALLDrakes!!! The three hens were not Saxony. I'm going to see if I can eat them.

Yes. I never had that happen before. I set the bator too low by accident. Don't know if that's why I got all drakes. They are gorgeous, but drakes.

Is there more than one ground hog, like in other towns and states?

Also, your hatching addiction encouraged me to put 14 eggs in the incubator, I will either have only 3 hatch, or a bunch of drakes as is my trend. But my runner is burrying the eggs deeper and deeper each day (physically digging into the floor and covering back up) in an attempt to hide them from me so I might leave the new ones for these few cool days and see if she sits.

And yes there are more ground hogs. Pauxatawny Phil is probably the most famous. I misspelled that but am too lazy to look it up. Pennsylvania's a weird state.
