The Barred owls are calling this morning. The screech owls were at it yesterday but I don't hear them this morning. I guess the Barred owls are making babies.

Also is that a lake or the ocean in the background.Genetic indeed. My ducklings inherited escape artist genes. Here they are in a water way in the house paddock on other side of levy from house, after I spent 15 minutes searching high and low for them in the yardView attachment 3093046
What they are swimming in, is the overflow from house... it's normally underground but the rains filled it up. In the tree line in the distance is the Duck Creek, but no lakes or beaches near by. Closest big water is the mashesAlso is that a lake or the ocean in the background.

What are your plans for the crazy ducks?Ok story time again. Penisless duck got his stitches out today and was released to general population. So I put the four drakes together in one coop and put the insane ducklings in with the hens. The grown hens are hiding in the corner to get away from the insane ducklings. They are ostriching putting their heads in the corner. If they can't see the insane ducklings maybe the ducklings can't see them.
The only thing is, don't hatch their eggs or you will have wild rambunctious ducks everywhereThe two drakes go to a woman who wants pond ducks. She has a lonely only so these are companions. I'm keeping the three hens and putting them with my most rambunctious drake cause they deserve it.
