Tweedledee's only surviving duckling (one out of seven) has gotten her name! - No not the designation "One of Seven" or short "One" - She is now know as »Laura Duck«.

Why »Laura«? - Well, she too looks like a yummy piece of milk-chocolate, like our »Milka Duck«, so i was looking for another chocolate brand name. I assume there are plenty of »Hershey Ducks« out already and "Toblerone", "Marabou" or "Goodiva" just did not sound right. Then my wife reminded me about her favorite Romanian chocolate...

Funny moment in an otherwise very displeasing video-conference call today: Ducks love cardboard boxes too:

That was not what they did during that call, that was after the call. But they woke everybody up during the call. It sounded like a drum-solo!

Late in the afternoon us three decided to walk to the mailbox and back. On the way we figured out that our Canned-Pear pear-tree has some pears on it:

And you can go for a stroll with your ducks like you would do with your dogs. Chaos and Mayhem just trotted besides me down the hill and back up. Well ½ way back up they demanded a break. Officially there was a lot to investigate in those fallen leaves…

Maybe below video helps. Yesterday i spend the whole afternoon with the ducks in the veggie garden and after a while everybody got really busy:

My call dux have really started to enjoy their free range time at our new place. But now they won't stay off my porch.
When i go inside they get up here and drill on the door.

How many do you have? They are beautiful. I have two but one is now sterile. My 4 were too much for my Hens as they would get three on top of one. With just two and my big hens except for my Mallards they are fine.

Chaos and Hayhem were very busy eating bugs, worms and - i have no clue what, while i was removing the non-strawberry plant material:

You can see Mayhems right foot with the missing webbies clearly at about 40 seconds into the video.

Mayhem has adjusted very well with that webless foot. It did look like it was trying to grow back. That will be amazing if it does. You will have to keep us posted Frank, I would be interested to see if it does.
