Me loves me blue jays!!!

Fake Eilleen is “not normal” from living in Mo. too long.

Even little tweety birds eat meat. Not at the level dux do though.

Dux eat fish, bugs, worms and so on, in addition to having their eyes set on world domination and the end of humankind.....

Do you think a baby worm isn’t loved by its Mommy as much as a baby kitten is?

Yes but chickens and frogs eat at the same level, ducks are a big help to the community, spreading love and helping rid this world of over populated bugs!!

Huh. . wow. I didn't doubt they would eat meat but I've never seen one attack and try to kill anything. They are fierce protectors of their nests and babies. I love watching them dive bomb the squirrels and knock them off the fence. :lau
All my storybook notions pf bluejays are being challenged! Not as blue as expected, and much squawkier and feistier.

I had a small wood pecker fly into the glass door on my porch the other day so I just ordered some twirly things off Amazon that I can hang out there to deter that from happening he didn't fly off sadly. :(
I'm sorry about that, Patti. The woodpeckers here are some of my favorites. Hopefully the whirly'gigs do the job.

Someone mentioned having to listen to the crows in the morning... After this spring those crows, crowing have been like music to my ears. The hawks have almost completely dispersed. There is one that comes back every morning and perches in my neighbors pine tree. The tree is a good 20' taller than the rest and makes a great look out place. Yesterday, I watched a bunch of crows chase that one hawk off, and when they flew by, one stopped and perched in the hawks spot. It's the only time I've seen a different bird than the hawk on that branch. I swear that one crow looked like it was strutting "I'm the king of the pine!" I'd totally give that crow a treat if it's stick around. :)
