Makes me want a kitty. Been over 12 yrs since we had a cat. Kayla is he ever interested in your chicks or bantams? If you get the paste and your ducks like bread you could put the paste on a small piece of bread and try giving it to them like that.

Not bantams but small chicks yes

That’s been my main reason for not getting another kitty. And my birds aren’t in a “pen” so I guess until I am absolutely sure no more chicks duckling no kitty. I’m pretty sure we’re done with hatching but I still need to convince my girls. lol​

Every cat is different though. Get a kitten and raise it around them... it should get used to them and not try to kill them.

I was just out talking with the flock, collected an egg in the shack, and then found an egg in the yard. I don't think the egg I found is a chicken though. It was found in the LF flock, and it was not under a tree. Closest tree branch is a good 15' away. Whatever it is, it's freaking adorable. The large egg in my hand is from Mrs Black, the Turken.

Those are called “oops”.

They happen with young birds or when the system errors.

Last cat we had was a stray we adopted and he was a great cat but he would catch birds and chipmunks and bring them in the house alive. That was not fun.
