That’s a nice group! Are you roaring turkey? This year just my husband an me +4 dogs 18 water fowl 18 chickens and 5 gold fish but just the 2 humans in the house! I hope you all have a very special time Bob!!
I broke down and bought a young tom from the store. My heritage birds aren't big enough for this crowd and didn't want to try and cook two.

Last night was the first night the turkey spent in the shack. It went pretty well, I did have to herd them into it though. This morning I had to also herd them out, but it was just a slow stride, no freaking out.

They are interested in me, and get to about 12' away, but if I move they'll retreat. Still no eating from my hand. They are not the easiest to get still pictures of either.

Being they are supposed to be Midget Whites, and they have the RP making, would it makes sense to call them Pygmy Palms?

I'm staying in this year. For the last~12 years I spent Thanksgiving day with Tim and his family. I'm going to have a meal with Mary and the boys, but when they go family hopping, I'll be staying home. I'm still having a difficult time with him not being here, and just want to spend the day remembering him in peace.

At one point in the day, Mary and the boy will be going to Disney with my mom, sis and her family. They're basically getting dessert (if anyone can eat more) and everyone get a nice Christmas ornament for the tree. My mom had been doing it for about 18 years now.

Chris, just take as seat near them with your treats. They'll come to you soon enough ;) @memphis is a pro at teaching lappers and divas :D
I've quite enjoyed them so far. They don't instantly freak out when they see me anymore, so that's an improvement. ;)
I've been whistling at them and it seems to perk their interests. Hopefully I'm not making mating calls.:oops:

Enjoy your day Chris and remember all the happy times. :hugs
