The incubator is actually full though. I filled it in with O Shamo eggs.

I think Serama genetics are some of the most mysterious. They say they do not breed "true", but I know some of mine do. But I think its more because there aren't particular varieties. You almost never know what might pop forward from generation to generation. I will see what the book says about them though, and send you some page pics.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't the Serama a natural breed? Not breeding true sound like a hybrid trait.

It's fungi time! The rain we got from the tropical depression has pushed out quite a bit of mushrooms.

While turning my bedding/shavings compost pile, I found this beauty!

So I knew we had Scovys in the area, but I found where they all hang out! A few blocks from my son's school, there is a lake with a decent sized neighborhood wrapped around it. I'd say every 3rd yard had Scovys just hanging out, and the lake had a bunch of them. I took my son by there to let him see it. He know they where different from our ducks, and was super curious about them.
"Look daddy, their feet look like our ducks!" He really likes the Anconas.

There where some mallards too!

I haven't said those words in years...
I was trying to turn a friend on to some of the ElectroSwing music I like, and he already knew about it. Then he let me know a good friend of his actually is a semi-known DJ in that genre. That friend happens to be headlining an even tonight, and invited me to go enjoy some free VIP treatment. I am stoked!

I'm not familiar with his friend as a DJ, but heard some of his music and do like it. I won't have to be in the crowd either which is fantastic.

I doubt I'll be on much till tomorrow mid-day. It's a bit of a drive from here so we are just going to stay the night and get some rest.
