Well I just reported that fighting cock to the Sheriff's Department. It's not technically breaking a crime due to the wording of the ad. It doesn't technically say fighting cock. However it was a direct enough reference that it has been passed on to the agricultural Department of the Sheriff's Office and an investigation has been opened.

At first there detective was pretty dismissive. He said "it's not illegal to sell the rooster and any rooster could be a fighter, you know that right?" I rebuttal with "I'm aware any rooster can fight, just like any dog can fight. If somebody reported a dog fighter to you, would you just tell them it's not illegal to sell a dog? I said if you look at the ad you'll understand what I'm saying, this is not just a rooster that could get in a fight. It's a roster for fighting."

When he read the ad his whole tone changed. He had to do some research to find out if it was technically a crime, and called me back.

When he called back he informed me it was worded smooth enough they could not take any action. However it was a good enough references that the AG department was highly interested. If they can find a pattern of sales, they can have probable cause, and then take action.

Then we proceeded to have a 10 minutes conversation about chickens. He did ask how one could spot fighting chick ads vs legitimate cock ads. Other than that though, he was genuinely interested in the breed. He had never seen an Asiatic fowl. His first question was "Is this an old breed? Looks ancient." He asked about "those fuzzy chickens with feathered feet" & "what kind would I raise for my own meat?" Then he thanked me and said he'd wanted to raise chickens for a while now. One of the better conversations I've ever had with a detective.

I scour YouToooooob for cock fighting and I get it banned. Please if you see it report it. YouToooooob will remove it. COCK FIGHTING IS VILE!!!

I don’t really get why people do that or dog fighting or any of that stuff for that matter? Like what do they even get out of it? Do people really enjoy watching animals kill each other and scream in pain!? I mean it’s just absolutely horrible. You have to be pretty sick in the head, I’d think, to think that was even remotely “entertaining.”

Yes I agree!! And those violent “wrestling” things too where they can use chairs or whatever too or the cage match stuff. It’s all so violent. But at least that is voluntary. The animals get no say in it and yes, you have to be very sick to enjoy watching them kill each other. And yeah I’m pretty sure they do and they even have like “champions” and top, “quality” animals that win tons and are worth tons of money. I used to watch those animal cop shows on TV where they busted some so learned a lot there ha idk about cock fighting but dog fighting is big business if your dog wins.
