That is so cool. Now I want Seramas! I have a special Cochin Bantam hen who I can cuddle she is so sweet and her little chick is just as sweet. It’s a little roo though so not sure if that sweetness will last. Your little ones are so precious. Forgot to ask what are their names?

My mind is totally blown by how friendly they are.
I looked up the OEGB and had to stop right there before I called the chicken farm, again. They're so pretty. I now understand why people decorate their kitchens with chickens lol.

For names, the more buff colored is Nugget. She is a bit smaller than the others and the most calm. Typically the last to land on me.

The one with the white is Izzy, short for Isabella. Izzy seems to be the most adventurous, so she is named after Isabella Bird. A 19th century explorer and the first woman to be elected Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

The hopeful roo is a bit more difficult for me. I'm thinking A'pollo for a play on chicken in Spanish and the Greek/Roman god of music. That or General Tsao, still not sure yet.

When I got the guineas I was also introduced to a serama rooster named Rocky. Rocky was jet black and tiny. I was blown away to find out he was full grown. He was very social, and for the first time, I was interested in chickens. Thankfully for me (and my marriage status) they are expensive at hatcheries, and I've not seen them on craigslist. That was until Thursday after talking about them for an hour with the guinea farmer. I hung up the phone and minutes later a semi local ad pops up on CL. A couple hours and $15 later I had 3 chicks. The one on the bottom looks like it may be a lil'boy! His waddle has a more red tint and more pronounced.

I picked my wife up with the chicks in the car, and she says "Oh the ducks came! I thought their chirp would sound a bit different." My response was "Ducks will be here tomorrow hun, I'm gonna grab a coffee." And jumped out of the car before she could respond... While inside she opened the box, and was greeted with 3 extremely social 3 week old chickens.

When I get back in the car, this is what I see.

I am amazed with how social they are. They where hen hatched and raised in general. The lady I got them from said to expect about a week for them to get used to me. It didn't even take an hour. I was moving them from their box to a temp housing, and individually, they flew up and perched on me. One landed on my glasses and was so light, it didn't even knock them off my face. They sat in my lap and fell asleep. Every time I walk by them they get excited and try to come to me. We walked around the yard like this yesterday morning for a good 30 minutes...

The bottom with ladder is finished, just need to finish the living area. It's going to be a busy day hustling in the heat again. Don't forget your water guys n gals!

These guys have been a ton of fun to watch also. They are fast, surprising fast for such a small animal.

They have some feathers coming in.​

We have 2 with this color and pattern.

The other colors are 1 bird each.

This one was squirming the entire time, not to happy with me.

Hehe.... Well, I have over 15k hours of professional experience in the kitchen. Food names just come natural to me. I particularly am a fan of various Asian cultures foods too, as can be seen in my garden (in real life, maybe not here). Plus stuff from Thailand seems to really thrive here, side point.

My wife mentioned wanting another cat a while back. I told her if she got another cat, we were going to name it Teriyaki, and then when I got a dog we were going to name it Chef. Now in all honesty I think Teriyaki is a cute name for a cat, but my wife knows me a little bit too well. So the last time we did go get some cats, we were signing the adoption paperwork, my wife looks right in my son and says "What would you like to name them buddy?" She got me! Now I'l never have a cat named Teriyaki, just a duck named Terry.

And that's how's this little guy got his name @Miss Lydia .

This little drake is easily the bravest duck of the bunch. He better be too. Teriyaki had some big booties to fill. Well 4, and they are imaginary booties, but she would have been a big cat never the less.

He's the only one that does not walk away when I approach the brooder, and will just stare me down. In the last picture he is nibbling at my beard. I'm not sure if it's dominance, exploring, or I just need a shower, but I thought it was cute.

Yup, I'm enjoying these little quacks.
