Wow, what a great thread! Congrats on on your new critters!
Hi there Casportpony, and thanks for the compliments! I've seen you're name get tagged in a bunch of "HELP!" threads. I'm honored to have someone with such knowledge and experience hanging out.
Feel free to grab some popcorn, your favorite feathered friend and enjoy the adventure.

Morning :frow I have chirping coming from my living room
Congrats! I've got some time till I do any hatching, but I can imagine how rewarding it is.
Can we see?
@rjohns39 @Miss Lydia and anyone else reading this. Always feel free to post pictures, stories, advice, or just general chit chat on this thread. I love talking, teaching, and most of all learning. Or just read along, that's okay too. These lungs I have, they hold a lot of wind. :D:p;)

@casportpony I love this thread great way to start the day!
Well thank you very much. I look forward to seeing your comments. I really appreciate the suggestions too. One can never have to much, well intended, advice. (some advice, well it's better left on pages it came from)

Well she wasn't very helpful.
"You better start laying eggs soon Lucy!".

So I guess it's up to me to tell the story of how our first 2 pekin ducks came to live here... Well, at least their intro to my wife. Enjoy the convo. :D I'm the blue tab on the right.

That is so sweet. You and your wife are so cute!

I'm not a big fan of stopping for breakfast. I've got a bunch to do before the sun gets blazing. I tend to snack on w/e is in the garden. Recently, breakfast has looked something like this....

The Purple Dove bean has a bit of a different texture. It's very wet when you chew it. The inside looks a bit gelatinous, but it doesn't have any of a slimy texture like okra does. It almost rinses itself down. The mature beans are a wonderful royal purple with shine fading to am milky white and white eye. Very pretty even if just for decor.

Walking iris coming out to give thanks to the sun. If anyone is interested in some of these, a priority box is only a few bucks, and they seem to travel well, and are VERY prolific.

Well it's time to get this lil fella some food. Oh, his favorite song is 5 little ducks. You should see his face when he's around the ducklings. It's a heart melter. I'll try to get a pic, but he's as fast as the guineas with the "AHH camera!" Thing.

Have a grand day and quack quack y'all.

So you have some hatchlings in human form too:love okra :sick I am southern through an through but have never been able to eat okra. Well actually that isn’t true my daddy was a yankee. Maybe that’s my problem but I sure do love collards and corn bread:drool I hope no one from the north takes offence I love you all honest. Just think a southern mama married to myu daddy from the north ruined my taste buds for southern food till I got married and my MIL cooked southern.
