^^cracked pepper and habanero glazed "Firecracker" ribs...^^

This place is hands down some of the BEST BB-Q I've ever had. It might be cocky (15k hours of experience does that to a person), but I never (ever ever ever) like someone's BB-Q better than my own. I rarely even give complements like that to restaurants, but respect is given where it's earned. A true representation of southern hospitality. Family owned and operated through multiple generations. They even know how to make the batter stick to a fried green tomatoe! EVERY SINGLE BITE HAD BATTER! I hate getting fried green tomatoes at a restaurant. There's nothing worse than taking the first bite and having all of the batter fall off. Your left with this hot slimy booger of tomato, yuck! I can't even remember the last time I was so happy to give my money away!

I can't wait to re-build my smoker... But I know what you mean. I found a place in San Antonio who made a better BBQ than me. I should have been deeply offended, but instead I was just delighted. I enjoyed it to no end. :D

Mornin Bob. It's nice to know someone else takes their item bbq so seriously. :)
I was born in MO and is where I learned to love smoke, but learned how to actually smoke here in Fl. We did an "Everglades" style but I didn't then & still don't really like it.

Besides TX and MO are where I've had some the best bbq I can even remember. To me it's just a simple math problem. Look at how many cows Fl has when compared to TX or MO. It's not the Floridians fault... Although we have a lot of seafood places that are horrible too... , that's Floridians faults. ;)

Morning Chris :frow

I could talk food forever... I've lived around the world and have found the culinary treats from different places just amazing. Hopefully in a couple of months, I'll be able to re-build my smoker. and then I'll go smoke crazy... I'll probably also make some cheese that I can hang in the smoke house and cold smoke as well.

Here it's $30/year to buy into the heard share and $8/gallon. Cream is crazy expensive at $16 per quart. I love fresh made butter, but not at $16/pound. :he
Well I guess it's not as expensive as I thought. Though $30/year and $8/gallon sounds easier to swallow. I'm not even going to price the cream here.
Btw, the misses already told me no cows. :(
"I thought you said homestead, that's a farm."
Her relatives are cattle farmers up north, so there's not much schmoozing room in there for me.

Morning everyone!

I was cleaning out the indoor pen this morning and got to see the birds and Dino eating & drinking together. I didn't get the camera fast enough, but it was pretty neat. Dino was eating his food and A'pollo went to the water dish and had a drink. Dino looked up, saw them chickens and went right back to eating. Then Nugget and Annie decided to join for a drink. After that they just walked around Dino to explore threkitchen. I love watching different species get along. They may never ride Dino in to the wind, or actually they might. Who knows?
