Sweet avatar too :love

Yours too Kayla!!
Thank you! Pretty sure we were at the Tampa zoo that day. My hair was down to my chest at the time. I'm actually growing it out again. It's at the awkward stage right now though. As long as the hairstyle I'm trying to achieve his afro, it's okay with that. Anything else is out of the question. I'm hoping by next summer I can pull it back again.

This is what happens if you use the restroom in the middle of the night in my house. Although I will admit, he makes really good blanket too. ;)

So I've never actually got to see it up close wasp attack until yesterday. As I was pulling out of the driveway, and as soon as I look forward to wasp landed and went for the kill. It was quite interesting to watch it holding it victim with mandibles and then hit it with the stinger from the underside.

In a strange way it also made me think about the Hawks around here. I do admire nature, the survivability of animals, and the capability of predators. It's hard to deny the amazing amount of precision a hawk has. Just like it was quite amazing to see the precision the wasp had...

By the way, can anybody identify that wasp? It was quite attractive was its red legs and oblong shaped abdomen.

Well Kayla, after sleeping on it I've decided to pass on the Serama flock. :( I just don't think it would be a very reasonable decision. Plus as Patti has pointed out, I need more coops. (lots & lots of coops will come!)

I have 1 cockerel and 2 pullets that are purebred as is. The pictured birds are the ones I want, but it would give me a 2:3 m/f. It would also involve inbreeding being that the rooster I want, is father to the pullet I just got. Right now my pullets are separate bloodlines, though A'pollo and Izzy are siblings.

The main reason I want the rooster, is because he's chocolate. The picture I posted does not do him justice. He is much much prettier in person. But, A'pollo's colors are changing. I don't know how to judge what his final color would be, and maybe I'm being a little bit naive, but he looks like he's turning chocolate. I can accept the fact that I might be completely wrong, but regardless of that I still think he's beautiful.

The mahogany and black feathers are new in the last couple of weeks.
