I am so excited that tomorrow's high is only 75 degrees! It has been unusually hot and humid lately here. I don't even care that it might rain non-stop for the next 2 days.

So the remaining Shamo has not stopped chirping after I removed the dead one. It still has 1 BA and 2 EE in there with it. Would it be reasonable that it's just crying because it's hatch mate is gone? Only time it quiets down is when I go put my hand in the brooder, then it runs and jumps in it.

I'd happily put up with a 2 say of rain for a cooler and drier day.

I came out at 7:10 and my Runners surrounded me talking not so nice to me.

Lol, of the 3 breeds we have, the Runners seem to be the easiest to read. They are so full of personality.

Runners are so fun. Even though mine don't like to be picked up they love to climb all over me when I am sitting with them. They are not shy!

I just love Runners! They really brighten up the homestead. I love my Muscovy and Buffs too but they aren't near as entertaining as the Runners.

Once I let the younger ducks go with the Pekins they no longer wanted to be picked up. I can still hold them with minimal resistance, there's no more standing in my hand.
Getting climbed on is still pretty cool though.

With their size and personality it's almost like they just quit growing 3/4 of the way through. A bunch of happy youngsters or something.

I will take what I can get. They are so funny. My pekins were so snuggly until I put them out with the big ducks BUT they are slowly letting me get more hands on. They have figured out that they get more treats if I get to pet them. Now when I let them out to play without the other ducks, pfft they follow me everywhere and peck at my shirt and talk to me although I have no clue what they are saying. My little special pekin comes and sits next to me so I can pet her. Pitter Patter! It makes me happy though so as far as I am concerned that is all that matters.

My ducks run from me. if there is a fence between us they come right up. But they know they getting hugged if iam too close

Iam gonna try and refrain from hugging my next ducks and hopefully they will grow up to like me
