I didn't start taking weights till day 4, but it was 21.5g then. Today is day 10, so it's gained 12.3g in 6 days.Cute little one. What was hatch weight and how old now?
I think a Brahma flock would be pretty neat. Their so big and fluffy! I was just looking at some buff bantams this morning. I can't fit another LF in the flock, but tiny chickens are pretty easy lol.I don't know yet. I really did love those fluff butts like my neighbor has. He gave some eggs to another of our neighbors last year for meat birds. Well needless to say he gave us a processed bird and instead of turkey we had roasted chicken. That sucker was 12 pounds. We have another one in our freezer for this Thanksgiving. Now I would not personally be raising them to eat unless we had a problem rooster or something like that but they were fun to have around and to me they were beautiful. I like the feathers on their feet. But I am open to suggestions. These were just really friendly birds especially the Welsummer rooster. I am sure I will be all over the place by the time I get them. Patience is not my strongest virtue.![]()
Thanks Bob, how's your day going?Chris, I'm glad paddy is doing well.
Thank you!
Beautiful ducks in your avatar!
The meat was fantastic actually. We have cooked about 4 of his chickens that he has given us that he processed and they have all been perfect. He is completely organic and green so I am not worried about chemicals or anything.I think a Brahma flock would be pretty neat. Their so big and fluffy!
