The deal we made was for him to buy 25, but take whatever hatched because none of my brooders are in a heated space. Two days before he was supposed to pick them up, he emailed me telling me he had a family emergency and was out of town. He asked if I could hold them for him and I agreed. Never heard from him again.

Wonder what happened to Paddy, sure thought she was way out of the woods by now.
I thought so too.
Her breathing has gotten much stronger since my last post though, and she tried walking a bit without success. She does have the strength to move, but not enough to take steps.

She just flipped herself over and was on her back. I put a shirt in with her to prop her up. Hopefully she's braced enough to not flip again.

Mornin y'all. It is a whopping 44 degrees here this morning. Tonight we are supposed to get our 1st official frost which means I need to go cover some plants and bring in my impatiens, wrap the duck run and put the window back on their house. Gotta love when winter approaches. Pretty close to your temps today @duluthralphie

Paddy is a chicken right?

Is she between 15 and 30 weeks old?

Not trying to be a bird illness genius, but that sounds like classic Maraks. I hope it’s not. Because if it is, you can figure on losing a bunch more if they weren’t vaccinated.

fingers crossed it isn’t.:fl

Temp wise we beat you southies.. 45 here:wee
She's not that old yet, closer to 5-6 weeks. She already had issues though. She's mostly blind, and I'm thinking there's more to her problems.

I hatched her myself, so no she's not vaccinated.
