Good morning!

Doing mostly good here. I finally got sick from the kids though. :(
It's also supposed to rain all weekend which stinks. I know you guys can really use the rain, but at any given time I could just float away lol.

So the chicken was a big success. I was able to make my diner, ~1.5 gallons of stock, ~1.5 gallon of chicken and potato soup, and have both breast for chicken salad. Sadly nobody else ate the chicken last night. Between being sick or busy, everyone had their own plans.

The stock has been going for ~13 hours by now, and has kept the house filled with wonderful smells. In the next couple of hours I'll blend/strain the stock, and get the chicken and potato soup rolling. I'm not 100% sure what kind of soup it'll be yet. It's a toss up between something like a chicken and corn chowder, or something with pesto and pine nuts...

The bean soup hoopla is getting dubbed Southern Havoc. The heat is fantastic, and makes my brow sweat, but not so hot I can't taste it. The bean soup alone was more on the savory side. The pork was just regular BBQ. Both dishes were made for the family, kid friendly if you will. The pot of slop I made yesterday is anything but kid friendly! It tastes so good I can't help but to eat more. Good thing too as I've got ~1/2 gallon of it all to myself!
