Chris which breed was Mrs Brown? Very sorry about her. Precious pic of Jonah. They sure do love getting into their food don’t they. I do have pics of Danny but I have to wait till my WiFi is back working since they are on my computer. Frontier is suppose to come today. Hope your feeling much better today.
Mrs Brown was one of the Turkens.

Lol, yeah. Those messy meal times earns him an instant bath.

Still feeling like I was ran over. I've had a migraine for about 36 hours now. I'm not feverish, nor throwing up anymore though, so that's a nice improvement.

I am sad you lost her. I tell ya it’s hard to figure out sometimes what is going on with them and most of the time it’s too late. I hope today is a turn around for you and you start feeling better.
I'll be honest, not being able to spot the problems before they are deadly make me feel like a bad animal owner. It's not for a lack of trying. I'm checking vents, combs and poops daily.

Something happens, I educate myself (or you folks educate me), 2 weeks later there's a whole new "thing" trying to kill my birds.

Ya know, not a single duck has been sick or ever given me a fright.

Does anyone else feel like bantam chickens are hardyer than large fowl?

I've been trying to keep a bit of emotional separation from thr birds, but Mrs Brown was my only lap bird, and I miss her.

Can’t say that here. I’ve lost LF to old age and Water belly. Just recently lost a Salmon Faverolle to ? I have no idea she was just 2 this past May. I sit out with my birds a lot and up until 2 days before she died I never noticed anything off. Being prey they just hide sickness too well. Only reason I’ve lost ducks and thankfully my last one was almost 12 in 2016, is from egg binding and that has been only 2 females both Muscovy. It’s very hard to lose any it does make us feel like we’ve some how let them down.
