What's a HURT duck?
I feel you on birds always being available at bad times. There are some really nice roosters available in my area for very fair prices. Including this fella. His name is Hank the Tank, a LF Cochin boy.

But if not for you they'd probably be 2x worse than when you first saw them Your rescue probably saved their lives.

The core of the bad foot is on the surface of his foot! The other foot is completely healed, thank goodness! But the bad foot made such little progress, the core is coming out though so I hope that's good. Oh, on his healed foot he has tiny brown scabs on the top of his leg... like 4-6 of them, is that bad?

Post pics it’s hard to figure out what you seeing with out pics. Post pics of the bad foot too getting that core out means it can begin to heal.
