The Quack Shack

Looking back at her pictures she had some really bad swelling too!
Refresh my memory.. Was there a lot of puss? Like. . liquid type puss or yellow core like puss?
There was a small core and a lot of liquid. When I made an incision it practically spurted out and continued running down my hand for quite some time. It soaked a gauze pad.

I ask because I always wonder if the swelling means it's full of puss or not. :idunno
Interesting. So some puss in poultry can be liquid and some is hard core like. Noted.
But. . Is it puss or is it "fluid" ?
The things I think about. . I know.:gig

I call it liquid pus and solid pus, but Kathy would be a more reliable guide on the terminology front, lol.

I had Ollie out for some lap time. It was more just to check him out, but he decided to hang out for a while. He's very mild mannered. He didn't really like being picked up understandably, but was okay with being held, and put down. No wild wing flaps to the face. :)
His beard is about as soft as a Silkie. It's the only feathers like that, the rest are nice and hard. I've quite enjoyed researching the breed.

I'm working on an elevated turkey/chicken feeding table. I'm thinking of making it 2.5-3' off the ground with a steep ladder like ramp. Something that's not very duck foot friendly.

I made the platform for it today. The idea is to let the spillage drop to the ground where the ducks will no doubt eat it.

The grate is from a commerical clothing rack, and has 4 hooked tabs on it that fits tightly in the slots.
