Ollie's brothers name is Echo. We're still planning on how we're going to do him, he hates us and we can't get him to hold still. We're going to try tomorrow since I have to tend to a party today.

It's something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. There's a lot of high end restaurants and wealthy residents here.

In regards to what makes a quality meat bird, I lack the breeding experience, I'm hoping I can make up for it in enthusiasm and determination though. I'm familiar with plant breeding and have a decent grasp on genetics in general. I just need to apply it to chickens and get some hands on experiences.

This spring is going to be a crazy ride! I guess the good thing is if the meat doesn't sell, it freezes well.

How has your day been?

My day... didn't go as planned, but that's how it goes at times. I did confirm 12 of the GC Marans hatching eggs to be picked up on Wednesday.
They didn't have any pullets or chicks available. I was hoping to get a head start, but whatever.

Alright! We're gonna work on him soon. Not today I need to head back. BF is having trouble with his sick daughter so looks like we're not gonna get any sleep tonight. I'm gonna watch some videos of ducks & bumble foot, seeing how others do surgery and treat them. I'll look on different forums and what not.
