Thank you! That's towards the end of assisting its hatch. It was very alert and active. I actually had to put it in a cup to keep it in the shell at the end. It's doing great now, and the abdomen did completely close.

So I've got an issue. One of the turkeys broke their top break off while in quarantine. It's just the top layer, the bottom is unaffected. By the time they where release it had scabbed over and started to heal. No big issues in regards to eating or drinking, just not very pretty.

Well today the scab was picked by a cock, and is bleeding. That has made others want to pick, and the scab is completely gone now. Even the smaller pullets are giving it a go.

I put it in a pin with another turkey, but I think the pin was the original problem. The fence on it is a 2x4 grid wire. I think it broke its beak by wracking it on the fence. That pin is the only one I have large enough for the turkey though, and leaving it out is causing problems... Oh yeah, it keep jumping the fence too now to get away from thr bullies. I've carried it to the back 4 times in about an hour prior to pinning it.

I'm at a loss in regards as what to do.

It looks pretty bad here, but until it was bleeding, it wasn't to bad looking.

Looking at the picture also looks like the top portion is now shorter. I do not remember there being so much of a gap between the top/bottom beak.

They do heal, Trim. I was reading about a turkey beak injury a while back. But I think that bird needs some alone time.

I have been using my Internet time on another thread, but I missed you guys, so I'm back. We're coming into summer here, and I will have more time with my birds. Three ducks are broody, and ten drakes are too young to do their job, so I will give them some bought fertile eggs to sit on shortly.

I had been complaining about my 6-8 month olds not laying. Guess what 2 cluckers surprised me with today. I suspect either the lavenders or the RIR x Leghorn mixes.

Chris do you have a large dog crate? Or know someone you can borrow one from. You can put the turkey in it and still keep it with everyone?

Chris do you have a large dog crate? Or know someone you can borrow one from. You can put the turkey in it and still keep it with everyone?

I do have a crate I can use. In regards to night time, do you think I should move the crate in the coop?
