We got a lot of rain too but we don't have our rain gauge out so don't know how much, just thankful we missed the ice.
Evidently the front hasn't gotten here yet because they were saying last night we would be 28 it's 39 and dropping. tomorrow morning 13 lets hope their wrong about that too.

Did you finally get your pigs done? With winter coming back I hope so.
I'd love to see your different breeds of Turkey's do you have pics?

I'm doing the middle one today. With these temps I don't have to worry about the meat going bad.

How many do you have to do total? True the colder the better except for the human doing the work. Front coming in fast now we're down from 41 to 35.

One more after today. Three total. The first one was really small, only got 37 pounds of meat out of him. This one is the middle sized one.

Well that's not bad. Do you do your own cutting too?

Yes. The local processors want $250 to start. So I do it end to end.

That's amazing. And that's a lot of money too. But can't beat fresh meat either. I won't even buy pork at the grocery store unless it's says humanely processed. And that is hard to find.

I do my best, but I know I can do better.
