By the way. The house is standing, and the roof looks to be intact. The windows are blacked out by the fire. It looks like they got it contained pretty fast. The fire station is only about 8 minutes away doing the speed limit. 4-5 minutes when you're burying your foot in the accelerator.

They're never far away. :love

I'm not kidding. These 2 are like a stink on poop, they just don't go away! :lau:lau:gig

The dogs got a coconut oil and sugar rub last night. The maintenance of a hairless dog is easier than a coated dog in my opinion. It's cheaper as there no need for a groomer. You do need to be proactively protective though. They get 2-3 baths followed by a bagbalm rub a month. Lotion 1-2 times a week. Sun block if we're are going to be hanging out outside. They both have "winter" clothing for when it's cold. They don't have the protection a fur coat offers, so you pretty much need to pamper them. That includes the occasional sugar scrub too. If your going to own an animal that needs pampering, you might as well enjoy it. :D

That's lower maintenance than furry dogs?? Haha! Cosmo has endless shedding, but as long as you brush him once a week, he's really not a high maintenance dog. I do all of our "grooming" myself most of the time since he's a spaz in the car. Usually 2-3 baths a year is all he needs. Unless he rolls in wild turkey poop.... then he immediately gets a bath. Because yuck.

We're up to 6 baby nigerian dwarf goats over here now. Picked up the last two members of our herd yesterday. They're 10 weeks old, which is a few weeks younger than Peach and Navi, and about 2 months younger than Clementine and Isabelle. But the youngest goat, Daisy, is WAY bigger than most of the other goats. Her mama is a good size and beautiful, so Daisy will definitely a big girl. Their siblings are actually going to Disney's Animal Kingdom. I guess they're planning a new exhibit with goats. Disney bought 8 goats total from the farm, so I told Daisy & Zelda that I'd have to go visit their buddies sometime.

I'll have to get some pictures of them later. The farrier is coming to trim their hooves, and I've been on "poop duty" all morning waiting for all six to poop so I can drop off their samples at our livestock vet's house. Fun times over here at English Acres, I tell ya.
