I've got another teacher coming to pick up a dozen duck hatching eggs today. I've got a soft spot for education and those who provide it, so I'l be donating these too.

In a strange way, it gives me an emotional catch 22... The education they'll provide is more important than the profit I'd make so I don't mind donating. On the other hand I've given away 3 weeks worth of feed money already. The lady I spoke with today said she didn't mind paying, but I feel bad taking her money. It's not like it's from the school board.

Maybe I'll start giving teachers a 50% discount instead. I feel bad that they come out of pocket as much as they do, but even a dollar an egg would help.

Morals... :he

What happens to the chicks and ducklings they hatch in the class room? do they already have arrangements for these littles?
The first teacher will be bringing the babies back, but I'm not sure about the second teacher. I'll keep the Runners and list the others. Maybe I'll just offer to take back all the ducklings and sell them to make some feed money. Provide the eggs and education and let them turn a $2 egg in to a $5 ducking. Ugh, I hate thinking of the flock in terms of money. 🤔

Me too Chris. I would not do this unless I knew they were going to be cared for afterward. Too many duckling now already bought from TSC that are beginning to lose their appeal because they are bought on impulse. Kids need to learn that there is a lot more to caring for animals than watching them hatch or be born. The responsibility is for the life of the animal or bird.
