I've never really been a fan of the Golden Cuckoo color/pattern. It's just not that striking to me. You might not be able to tell with the money and time I've spent trying to aquire them though, lol. I've always just wanted the girls for breeding projects. I never really paid attention to the boys. That being said, I'm falling in love with that rooster really fast. Here is so beautiful, and such a well behaved rooster. From day one of freedom he's been impressing me. He reminds me of a lion in my avatar.

He is very striking with those colors. And to have one well behaved is the best. I love my 2 roos. I look at my oldest and can't hardly believe he is going on 11 in August. `He tolerates us real well. lol

I need to start doing some research on pin keeping chickens. It's time to start building breeding pins and to stop talking about it. I just ordered a 4' x 100' roll of ¹/2" HWC. The idea is to build a 50' x ??" pin and spilt it in 2. If plans and supplies allow, I'll also add a 16' x 8' run attached to the Shack for the breeding pin going in there.

The outdoor pins are my main focus right now though. I need to get them up and functioning in the next month for all the new birds coming. I'm making their brooders extra large, but I'm still going to run out of room pretty fast with that many chicks.

The idea is to have the Crevecoeur in one side with an OE factory in the other. While having the 55 Flowery in the Shack pin. I'm still doing the bantam designer chick pin too, but building that's a seperate project.
