I got the 11 ducklings today, and all but 2 look like pure Anconas.

This one has a Runner stance...

This one is tiny, and the black on its feet has a chocolate/ purple look pending in the light. It's got white wing tips too, not yellow.

I'm working on building a second a-frame. Same 8x4 footprint.

Gotcha!

It's crazy how well he does with the goats and chickens. He's so calm and stoic, even as a pup. Now, that's not to say that I'd leave him unsupervised with them, but he doesn't need constant direction like say... a golden retriever I may know.

You guys are killin' me with the cute ducks!!

I candled my runner duck eggs again this morning and I saw a few with visible veining, but it's obvious that about half of them are duds. I kind of saw that coming, though. The air cells are totally detached in the ones that aren't developing. So I have 6 duck eggs left. Fingers crossed that I get at least a few runner eggs that'll make it to lockdown.

I'm hoping to FINALLY get the duck eggs that I pre-ordered in January next week. It's been excuse after excuse, but I'm just ready to get my eggs and be done with these people. I messaged them a week ago and finally got a response last night. Apparently they sent my eggs to the wrong person this time.

Hey y'all! Sorry I've been gone. I've been busy. Anyways, gorgeous ducklings! So out of 48 eggs put in the incubator,4 were infertile and 1 was dead. So hoping from now everyone is good. I'm on day 13 now and everything looks good. Humidity is great and temps are good. I have a silkie egg I'm excited to hatch out. As well as a silkie/ copper marans. Only planning on keeping 6. Rest I'm selling. Hope everyone has a good day!

When we go from 80 to 50 it does feel cold!
