Morning everybody. Well I was up all night with the eggs and still no ducklings. Everybody is content to stay in the shell. Hour 62 from external pip. Price goeth before a fall. I've been giving some hatching advice to some newbies. I thought I was getting good at it.

All five but one came out at 66 hours. He was malpositioned and I had to help. He was distress peeping and ready. He may look dead but is quite lively

He's just exhausted and cute as can be. The good news is you can tell the difference in the peeps. That's when I generally break out the tweezers.

This is the one I was most worried about, he internally pipped and didn't look right so I opened a big hole looking for his bill and all I found was butt. He s in the small end so I had him open on both ends for over 24 hours so he could breath. Everybody else is just peeping and taking their sweet time.
