They are foundation animals and I quite like them. Unfortunately my neighbor kills them

Beaver are terrible creatures I would rather have dux around than a beaver. We have a lengthy driveway, it crosses a small creek. The beaver are constantly filling the culvert with tree limbs, rock and dirt. It is wet miserable hard work to clean it out.

They cut down trees all around my ponds. They aren’t happy until my road is 3 ft under water.

Because they normally come out in the evening, I am forced to sit by the pond/road and swat deer flies, horse flies, noseeums and mosquitoes while I wait for them to show up. Of course, it’s all worth it when I feel the retort of my rifle and see them leaving earth for beaver heaven.

I believe beaver are great if they live south of the Mason Dixon line.

@duluthralphie they are only doing what comes natural! We have them in our mountain rive I like them! We’ve CB had otter too but haven’t seen any in years.

Otter our great, I love watching them.

However, comparing an otter to a beaver is very unfair to the otter. I will be contacting “otter lives matter”. You can expect a riot shortly. I expect the dux and beaver to join in on the riot. Your trees will be chewed down. Your ground will be all slimy and you will not be able to walk without slipping!!!

Actually, beaver are like wolves, they are romanticized to the point most people think they are sweet little critters with almost human traits.

For those of us that live in the Territory they live in. It is the exact opposite. We are fighting them and the damage they cause just to survive.


Also, I am only doing what comes naturally to me when I shoot them....

Good morning all I hope all your week ends were good . we had dust and 1.7 in. of rain ha. I have a question has any one used vetericyn antimicrobial ophthalmic gel on you poultry s eyes. one of my Africans did something to her eye it was so rainy and windy and all the dust in the air I felt like I had grit in my eyes Saturday . I noticed it last night. this morning I wash it off and put some ointment in but I am about out I hate going to the vets they charged me 30.00 dollars last time for a tube .
