What's happening in your garden?

Mainly getting all the spring veges started, but a lot of weeding, too. I made one new garden, about 1m x 2.5m. I have enough additional seeds sprouting to fill it several times over, I suspect. However, seedlings make great gifts for all the other gardeners I know, so it will all work out well in the end.

I have also had very good tomato germination. I start them in punnets, then transplant into pots, then plant some and give some away. I thin things that I direct sow, like carrots. I eat the thinnings. Waste not, want not.

Nice! How bug are carrots when you thin them?

That all depends when I notice! I thin them when they are almost touching so that they don't run out of space to grow.

We only get one tomato. Fast growing short lived summer ones.

My garden has had it for the year. We have had light frost and unless I had the plants covered they are dead.

The squash and pumpkin vines are still green. But the leaves are drooping. I will pick them in a day or two.
